Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays of the year. Yummy foods. Fine wines. Scrumptious desserts. And best of all, time spent around the dinner table with family and friends. And like many families, we will be serving our own version of the traditional Thanksgiving meal, including tried and true recipes from long-ago family Thankgsivings.
It’s a Thanksgiving menu we are now passing along to the next generation, with requests for old family recipes, and questions of “how did gramma prepare her turkey?” Though over the years, we’ve added a few of our own “twists,” filling our Thanksgiving plates with recipes of old, and a few recipes of new. We are building our own Thanksgiving meal tradition, merging the old traditions with a few new ones of our own doing, creating a tradition our boys are already salivating over in anticipation.
What’s On Your Thanksgiving Menu?
How about you? Where will your Thanksgiving Day take you? And what food will be filling your plate, and your stomach? Will your plate be filled with old family traditions, or will it be topped off with a feast of new family traditions?
