Happy Holidays From Yellowstone National Park!

Wow! It’s hard to believe that 2013 is practically over. So I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to all my friends and family. I will be taking a short break, but will be back just in time to ring in the New Year.

Until then, I leave you with this photo montage of an early morning ski adventure on Christmas Day in Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy!

Yellowstone National Park – A Winter Wonderland

Wake up to a crisp, beautiful morning, fresh snow blanketing this winter wonderland that is called Yellowstone National Park.

Strap on the skis for an early morning adventure through trails freshly coated with last night’s snowfall, cutting your your own trail as you go.

Winter in Yellowstone Waterfalls

Take in the beauty that surrounds you. Icy waterfalls free flowing off rocks. A bridge across a snowy river. Trees covered with snowy blankets.

Yellowstone np

Marvel at the solitude, ski trails empty but for you. Gaze upon a winter wonderland, no crowds to impede your views. It’s just you and Mother Nature out here!

Old faithful

And of course, the bison, hunkered down to keep warm. Perhaps your path will cross with other critters skittering across the snow. A lone wolf on the prowl for a snack. A rabbit hopping to safety. “Tis the season in Yellowstone National Park!

Happy Holidays To One And All!

Ski adventure complete. It’s time to head back to the lodge for a yummy Holiday meal.

Wishing you and yours a happy, festive Holiday week. See you shortly! :)

Hi Carolyn, thanks! Yellowstone in the winter is a truly magical place. But you really do have to enjoy the snow!

Happy holidays to you and yours!

  2. Beautiful pictures! A few of them look like our backyard does, except we do not have a waterfall in our backyard :-). We certainly have plenty of snow.

Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas! Hope Santa is good to all of you, and you have lots of fun.

Hi Sicorra, thanks. I wish our back yard looked like this! We love snow, grew up in snow, but sadly now live just far enough south that we don’t always get snow. When we do, it usually only sticks around for a few weeks, or less, and then gone.

Hope Santa was good to you and yours as well!

Yellowstone is beautiful in the winter time. I went to Yellowstone a few times as a child and it is an amazing place to visit. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas.
