Winter is in full force. Or in the case of the northeastern United States, in full snowstorm! It’s a time when many of us plan a winter getaway, a spring break escape. Trips that include airport travel. And lets face it, in today’s travel environment, airport travel can be overwhelming and stressful, especially when connecting flights are involved.
Navigating unfamiliar airports, finding your connecting flight’s gate, only to find out it’s moved, starving after that long flight, and only one hour to eat and get to your next flight. Yep, that sounds like my last air travel day! No wonder people coming out of airports can look so stressed. Wouldn’t you like a pocket-sized friendly tool that could help reduce some of that stress? Three Time & Money Saving Gate Guru Tips:
As mentioned earlier, I’ve been using Gate Guru since it’s early days. Here’s three tips that I rely heavily on Gate Guru for:
Gate Changes Happen! Check Gate Guru for gate status updates throughout the day. Airports have the nasty habit of changing a flight’s gate arrival and gate departure right up to the last hour. Weather delays, airplane issues, and a host of other reasons can cause an airport to move a particular flight’s gate.
Got connecting flights? Check your connecting flight’s gate status as soon as your flight touches the ground and you are allowed to turn on your phone. Depart the plane knowing exactly where you need to go. Checking your flight departure gate before you leave the plane avoids the crowd of people gathered around the ground service agent dispensing connecting flight information.
Search for Nearby Amenities! Use Gate Guru to find nearby amenities. You might also find a money saving coupon! And you know how I like to save money!
My opinion? Don’t take that next trip to the airport without Gate Guru on your side!
