It accommodates an assortment of perfect destinations for all sorts of travelers. From dynamic and spirited backpackers to a group of senior citizens, little children to honeymoon couples – India offers perfect destinations to enthrall them all. Summarized below are a few attributes that make India a must-visit for people intending to take off for a family vacation.
1. Budget Friendly
Holidaying in India can be very economical if one does proper planning ahead of time. Booking your travel dates much in advance helps you save on travel costs. Choose hotels which are not star rated but have most amenities. Every state has hotels suiting different classes of people and by opting for lower budget hotels you can make your trip a budget friendly one.

India boasts of having destinations which cater to people of all age groups. Right from a child to an elderly person India is suitable to travel and for making the most of the beauty of our country. For the youth, a variety of locations are available which can be visited. The coastal areas of Goa are excellent for water sports like parasailing, yachting, scuba diving, snorkeling and water skiing. The mountainous regions of northern states are home to sports like paragliding, hot air ballooning, bungee jumping, trekking, rock climbing and quad biking. The meandering rivers of Shimla and Manali provide an excellent river rafting experience. For elderly people, relaxed and calm destinations like Kerala and Kodaikanal are more suitable. What makes India perfect for a family holiday is that you get a wide variety of food suiting different people’s tastes and cultures. There are ample vegetarian restaurants available for those who do not eat meat. There are south Indian as well as north Indian restaurants to cater to people of those areas. Sweets and savory shops cater to snacking needs of children. Department stores sell baby food as well as ready to eat packaged food. When a family goes on a holiday to a different place they like to try the local food of that particular place. Every destination has its own specialties as well as specific hotels or areas which cater to the local delicacies. Tourists get to taste the local food as well as get the standard regular food.

Indian climate is very pleasant and cheerful and perfect for holidaying throughout the year. The climate of India is known to be tropical but yet manageable for most people. Unlike other countries which get extremely cold during winters and unbearably hot during summers, India is much tolerable weather wise. The climate of Indian states is moderate and does not get extreme. Hence India is perfect for going on a holiday all through the year.
